We tried them once a few months ago at their first location and loved them, but we believe we need to try something twice to fully determine how much we like them. Consistency is super important. Wingnutz opened in Froth Brewing Co. recently so we were excited to try a new brewery and have Wingnutz again.

The Best Chicken Wings in the Country Started Out of a Knights of Columbus in Buffalo

We're drooling just thinking about it. I should start by saying that I consider myself something of a chicken wing aficionado. I grew up in Buffalo and have made it my mission to try chicken wings across the country whenever I travel. And, though Alton Brown may beg to differ, I am here to tell you the best chicken wings, understandably, come from Buffalo. After all, they were invented here in New York’s second-largest city in the 1960s, so there’s an abundance of great restaurants serving this savory bar snack. But, finding the right wing that balances spice, a crispy exterior, size, a moist interior, and a sauce that adheres to the wing is more complicated than you might expect. But that’s where Wingnutz comes in.

Fast forward to 2021 and the Wrazens’ Wingnutz restaurant goes viral internationally thanks to coverage from the wildly popular Pardon My Take podcast.

Ed and Alicia Wrazen built a better chicken wing, and the world came and found them. Their 2018 launch of Wingnutz, featuring a characteristic crunchy coating on carefully cooked jumbo chicken digits, was followed by social media rave reviews. Last year, the hosts of “Pardon My Take,” a sports-centric podcast that usually draws more than 750,000 listeners per episode, tried the Wrazens’ work and declared: “We Found The Best Wings In The World.”
